Fraud and scam investigations in Spain

We establish who is actually behind a fraud and what they hold in Spain, and document it in a signed report your lawyer can act on. We do not promise to recover your money — no investigator lawfully can.

A confidential assessment costs nothing. If there is nothing worth pursuing, we will tell you that.

It's --:-- in Spain — an investigator is available now.

What we can establish, and what we can't

What is achievable

  • The real identity behind a name, a company or a profile
  • Whether a company genuinely exists and who controls it
  • Property, company interests and other assets held in Spain
  • Whether a document, a qualification or a registration is genuine
  • Where a person is now, and whether they are worth pursuing
  • A signed report admissible in Spanish proceedings

What is not

  • Recovering or reversing your funds — that is a legal process, not an investigative one
  • Accessing bank records or private communications
  • Any guaranteed outcome, by anyone, at any price
  • Acting where no lawful basis exists for the investigation

Anyone offering the items on this side of the page is describing something that is either impossible or unlawful. That is worth remembering when the next firm contacts you.

Case types

The frauds we see most

Investment and crypto fraud

Platforms that took deposits and stopped responding. Tracing funds on-chain is often possible; identifying who controls the receiving account is the real work.

Romance fraud

Identity verification: who the person actually is, whether the photographs belong to someone else, whether the same story is running against others.

Property and rental fraud

Deposits paid on properties that were never available, agents who did not exist, developments that were never built. Spanish records make these traceable.

Timeshare and holiday club fraud

Including the resale and "claims recovery" schemes that target people already caught once.

Business and invoice fraud

Payments diverted by intercepted correspondence, suppliers who were not who they claimed, counterparties who vanished after delivery.

Verification before you pay

The cheapest work we do. Confirming a company, a person or a property is real, before the money leaves.

How a fraud investigation works

01

Assessment

You tell us what happened and what you still have. We tell you whether there is enough to work from — honestly, including when there is not.

02

Identification

Turning names, accounts, companies and documents into a real, locatable person or entity.

03

Asset position

Establishing what they hold in Spain, so your lawyer knows whether action is worth taking.

04

Signed report

Delivered in English to you or your solicitor, prepared to be produced in proceedings.

If you were defrauded in the last few days, act before you read further. Contact your bank immediately, preserve every message and screenshot, do not tell the other side you have realised, and file a denuncia with the Policía Nacional or Guardia Civil. What to do first after a scam

Common questions

Before you instruct

Will I get my money back?

We cannot promise that and nor can anyone else. What we can do is establish whether there is an identifiable party with assets in Spain, which is the precondition for any recovery attempt and the thing your lawyer needs before advising you.

Is my case too small?

Sometimes, and we will say so. Where the amount lost is below what an investigation and legal action would cost, the honest advice is not to spend more. That conversation is free.

A recovery firm has contacted me. Should I use them?

Be extremely careful. Unsolicited contact, upfront fees and guaranteed recovery are the standard pattern of a second fraud aimed at people already defrauded. Ask for a verifiable licence number before anything else.

Can you work with my lawyer directly?

Yes, and it is usually the better arrangement. We report to the firm and correspond through it. For law firms

Tell us what happened

Leave a number and we'll call you back within 24 hours from a discreet number. Cases start from €1,200 plus VAT, quoted per case — and we will tell you before you spend anything if we think there is nothing to pursue.
